Emerging from a cosy office in the seaside town of Margate in Kent, United Kingdom, Invicta Storage Systems was founded in 1983 by Andy Shearer, a former semi-professional rugby player with many years of experience within the racking and storage industries. Quickly establishing ourselves as the local storage solutions provider of choice, the company expanded and, with the team increasing to 4 employees, moved into new larger offices in Margate.

By 1987, the business had built a reputation which allowed us to start exploring new markets. The Mezzanine Floors division began as a complementary service to our racking systems, proving hugely successful as an integrated storage solution for businesses across the UK.

Over the next 8 years, Mobile Shelving, Ceilings & Partitioning and Interiors divisions were added to the company’s structure. Invicta developed a reputation in the UK for our complete turnkey solutions, providing in-house design and fit-out solutions to warehouse, logistics, storage and distribution facilities across the country.

Having cemented our reputation as a leading storage solutions provider in the UK, we began to build our presence abroad. Invicta’s combination of top customer care and integrated solutions helped us grow throughout mainland Europe, and we became renowned for designing and building some of the largest storage and distribution facilities in France, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Norway and Belgium.

40 years on from those humble origins, The Invicta Group is now an international industry leader across six distinct divisions: Durasteel Fire and Blast Protection, Racking Systems, Mezzanine Floors, Ceilings & Partitions, Mobile Shelving, and Interiors, which brings together all of our specialities.

Today, Invicta is the world’s leading installer of Durasteel and 4-hour fire protection systems. Our staff now operates from multiple offices across Europe, the Middle East and North America, and we are proud to have executed major international projects in 29 different countries.

From designing and installing warehouses, storage, distribution and logistics facilities, we have successfully transitioned into completely independent markets, including power and energy, oil and gas, airports, stadiums, rail and metro systems.

The Invicta Group now has over 180 team members working around the world, many of whom have been with us for a decade or more. Our rich, tenured experience across multiple divisions continues to give us our edge, while the reassurance of familiar faces keeps our customers coming back for more.
